Deanne Morgan Editor-in-Chief National Litigation Bureau
Deanne practiced law for 11 years before becoming an editor. She served as corporate
compliance officer for an Illinois HMO and represented physician practices and
a large hospital in private practice. She began her legal career as a judicial
law clerk for a member of the Illinois Appellate Court. Deanne is a member of
the class of 1987 at Southern Illinois University School of Law. She earned a
master's degree in library and information science the following year at the University
of Illinois. Before joining the National Litigation Bureau, she was senior editor
at Eli Research, writing Hospital Compliance Alert and The
Clinical Laboratory Compliance Alert.
Chetan Rao

Before joining NLB, Chetan practiced as a real estate attorney in Orlando, FL
where he represented developers, lenders, and investors in all aspects of property
transactions. Chetan has also clerked at a secured transactions firm in New
York and at the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii on the leeward coast of Oahu. Chetan
graduated from Duke University School of Law, where he also earned a master's
degree in English and American Literature that same year. His areas of speciality
in law school were jurisprudence and national security law. He is a 1997 graduate
of Williams College, in Williamstown, MA, where he majored in English, Political
Science and Economics.
Humphrey Costello

Humphrey is a political economist specializing in heavily regulated markets.
He has taught in the Markets and Management Program at Duke University and is
a member of its Emerging Technologies Advisory Committee. He also was on the
faculty of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he conducted
research on social welfare policy. He has held visiting and research positions
at the University of Mauritius, Central European University in Budapest, the
Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences, Makerere University in
Uganda, and the Hoover Institution. Humphrey did his graduate studies at Duke
University and undergraduate work at Carleton College. Before joining the National
Litigation Bureau he was senior editor at Medicine & Health, writing Managed
Care Report and Medicine & Health's Business Alert.
